Is it worth buying in Milford?

I grew up here but left for a while. Homes are going for about $377,400 on average. With a population of 50,749, Milford is a smaller city. Crime rate is something to consider -Milford sits at 52.8 per 100K. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Pros:
- Low crime in most areas
- Close to nature
- Strong sense of community
- Walkable downtown
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Limited dining options
- Chain restaurants dominate
What do you all think? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'm a writer and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is tough and there's always something going on.

I've lived in West for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Lots of new development happening
- The pet-friendliness scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. No regrets on my end..
