Housing market in Milford right now

So, We're a young couple and Rent is about $1,702/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $429,800, which is pretty steep. Crime rate is something to consider -Milford sits at 165.4 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,702 for rent here. It's a a smaller city city with about 27,919 people. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Good job market
- Diverse community
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong sense of community

Cons:
- Rising rent prices
- Limited dining options
- Homelessness issues downtown
Worth the trade-offs? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want public transit, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The walkability is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is underrated in most areas.

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.

The food scene here is improving. Tons of great BBQ places. I have mixed feelings honestly.

I've lived in Downtown for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Lots of new development happening
- The healthcare scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
