Is Milford good for remote workers?

Longtime lurker here, Homes are going for about $429,800 on average. You can expect to pay around $1,702 for rent here. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Worth the trade-offs? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

The food scene here is better than expected. Tons of great Mediterranean places. I have mixed feelings honestly.

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in The Heights area are tough. Kids love it here.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The pet-friendliness is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value nightlife, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely tough and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Highland) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is school system. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Westside) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Dallas it's better than expected.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Midtown. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in education. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. job market used to be much pricey but now it's solid.
