OK so The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $836,300 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Would love some local perspective. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Used to live on the Uptown side, now on the Westside side. Completely different vibe. it was the best decision I ever made.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely tough and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Uptown) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Boston, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
