Hey everyone, The median home value here is around $145,500, which is actually reasonable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. TIA! The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Sunset. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in government. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.
