Most overrated things about Millbrook

Longtime lurker here, Been living here since 2013. Homes are going for about $193,600 on average. With a population of 16,923, Millbrook is a small town. Poverty rate is 9.2%, which is pretty low. It's a a small town city with about 16,923 people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Any advice would be great. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Came here for school and stayed because it was the best decision I ever made. The nightlife is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I have mixed feelings honestly. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is food scene. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Came here for retirement and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The healthcare is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Used to live on the Downtown side, now on the Cedar Grove side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 5 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
