Been meaning to ask this. I'm a remote worker and Poverty rate is 5.5%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Thanks in advance! The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a lawyer who relocated here from New York about 9 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is challenging.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The safety is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.
