Unpopular opinion about Millersville

Been meaning to ask this. With a population of 5,885, Millersville is a small town. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What are your go-to spots? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in Oak Park for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities
- The community vibe scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is walkability. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

Hot take but there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Boston about 10 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are stable, gas is improving.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Happy to answer more specific questions..
