Best restaurants in Millville?

Crime rate is something to consider -Millville sits at 472.3 per 100K. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. What would you do? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 10 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 2 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Boston about 10 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are competitive, gas is challenging.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Definitely worth checking out..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if cost of living matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a physical therapist, 24, moved here 8 years ago from Tampa. I've lived in South and Fairview, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Good healthcare facilities
2. Strong job market in several industries
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally improving - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Traffic during rush hour is rough
2. Far from beaches/mountains
3. The public transit situation is manageable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- South: Great for singles. challenging vibes, walkable.
- Fairview: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Tampa, everything felt solid. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are growing. Gas is competitive. You can live comfortably on $50K-$140K here.

**Final verdict:**
Happy to answer more specific questions.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Highland. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in retail. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Came here for weather and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The walkability is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in East for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size
- The cultural scene scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Good luck with whatever you decide..
