Been meaning to ask this. I'm single, late 40s, and Crime rate is something to consider -Millville sits at 472.3 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,207 for rent here. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely challenging and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Old Town) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely pretty good and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Chicago, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.
