Best apartments in Milpitas under ?

Curious what people think. I'm retired and Poverty rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $1,180,000 on average. It's a a smaller city city with about 78,216 people. The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Nice parks and trails
- Diverse community
- Strong sense of community
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Cold winters
- Limited nightlife
- Limited dining options
Worth the trade-offs? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is healthcare. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 3 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Midtown side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
