Job market in Milpitas for tech?

Hi all, You can expect to pay around $3,112 for rent here. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Any advice would be great.

Came here for retirement and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The cost of living is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Chicago about 6 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Summers can be brutally hot

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are developing, gas is decent.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.
