The good and bad of living in Milton CDP (Ulster County)
Curious what people think. The unemployment rate is 0.8%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Does this match your experience? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The public transit is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 2 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is surprisingly good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
