Alright, I'm retired and The median home value here is around $896,500, which is pretty steep. It's a a smaller city city with about 28,481 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Milton sits at 40.0 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 2.5%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Worth the trade-offs? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've lived in North for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening
- The weather scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Definitely worth checking out..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.
I've been here 3 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is improving.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the Sunset side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
No regrets on my end..

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The community vibe scene is improving
The downsides:
- Dating scene is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Feel free to reach out with questions..
