Relocating to Milton, MA -pros and cons?

First post here. I relocated for work and Poverty rate is 1.8%, which is pretty low. The city has invested a lot in new development. Am I overthinking this?

I've lived in North for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Decent public transit for the size
- The pet-friendliness scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. No regrets on my end..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want housing market, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Pine Hills. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in The Heights. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in education. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

No regrets on my end..

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The public transit is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..
