Co-working spaces in Milwaukie?

Random thought, We have two kids and Homes are going for about $477,200 on average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Would love some local perspective. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Portland about 11 years ago. The main reasons were family and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are wild, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Happy to answer more specific questions..

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a project manager, 35, moved here 15 years ago from Tampa. I've lived in Uptown and Sunset, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally challenging - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Not a lot of cultural diversity
2. Limited entertainment options
3. The community vibe situation is affordable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Uptown: Great for young professionals. surprisingly good vibes, walkable.
- Sunset: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Tampa, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are growing. Gas is competitive. You can live comfortably on $60K-$80K here.

**Final verdict:**
Definitely worth checking out.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. job market used to be much developing but now it's tough.

Used to live on the Sunset side, now on the Cedar Grove side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is pretty good in most areas.
