Is Milwaukie getting better or worse?

First post here. I'm a 37-year-old social worker and You can expect to pay around $1,499 for rent here. Rent is about $1,499/month for a decent place. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Thoughts?

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Denver it's decent.

Bought a house here in 2022 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone about the same since then.
