Planning a move to Mims -neighborhoods?

Anyone else feel this way? Crime rate is something to consider -Mims sits at 602.6 per 100K. Homes are going for about $235,600 on average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What are your go-to spots? Thanks for reading. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 11 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into running, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. housing market used to be much affordable but now it's decent.
