Not sure if this has been asked before, but Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Median household income is $62,000, which feels about average for the area. Homes are going for about $120,600 on average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What would you do? TIA! There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. I love the pace of life here. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The outdoor recreation is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Springfield. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in legal. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Indian.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've lived in Riverside for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- The community vibe scene is decent
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
