I've lived in Pine Hills for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Four distinct seasons
- The nightlife scene is challenging
The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Dating scene is rough
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want walkability, then yeah this place is great. But if food scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Pine Hills area are improving. Kids love it here.
