Alright, Crime rate is something to consider — Miramar sits at 216.3 per 100K. The median home value here is around $420,300, which is pretty steep. Poverty rate is 5.8%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What are your go-to spots? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Meadowbrook. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally tough. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Mexican.
Hope this helps!.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good airport with direct flights
- Diverse dining options
- The job market scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The nightlife is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value weather, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely better than expected and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Meadowbrook) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from San Francisco, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
