Biggest downsides of living in Mission Bend?

Hey folks, Household incomes average around $72,492 in Mission Bend. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Let me know your thoughts. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

I've lived in Fairview for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Affordable housing options
- The public transit scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Limited entertainment options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Uptown. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Asian.
