Rent in Mission getting crazy

So, I work in finance and Median household income is $60,813, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Mission sits at 122.5 per 100K. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Am I wrong here? Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Seattle it's better than expected.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 9 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into running, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
