Working remotely from Mission — my experience

I've been working remotely from Mission for 7 years now. Here's my take:

The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.

Cost of living: pretty reasonable
Internet: Decent, getting better with new providers
Coworking spaces: Limited but the library works in a pinch

If you're looking for a place to WFH, Mission is underrated for remote workers.

Good summary. I'd rate it higher personally — maybe 7/10.

My kids love it here. So many parks and activities. Great value for the money.

As someone who moved here from San Francisco, I can confirm most of this. The weather surprised me the most.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Oakwood and Eastside are perfectly safe.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.

If you can afford it, Midtown is the best place to live. Period.

Totally agree with this. I've been here 2 years and my experience is very similar.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.
