Longtime lurker here, I'm a college student here and You can expect to pay around $2,713 for rent here. Rent is about $2,713/month for a decent place. The suburbs are where most families end up. Anyone in a similar situation? Looking forward to hearing from you all.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Eastside. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in marketing. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Definitely worth checking out..
