Working remotely from Mission Viejo — my experience
I've been working remotely from Mission Viejo for 8 years now. Here's my take:
The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.
Cost of living: a bit high but manageable
Internet: Could be better but workable with a good provider
Coworking spaces: Growing number of options
If you're looking for a place to WFH, Mission Viejo is worth considering.

Downtown is overrated and overpriced. The suburbs offer way better value.

Good summary. I'd rate it higher personally — maybe 6/10.

I've lived in Downtown for 12 years and it's a hidden gem honestly.

If you can afford it, Maple Heights is the best place to live. Period.

As someone who moved here from San Francisco, I can confirm most of this. The cost of living surprised me the most.
