Worst things about Missoula nobody talks about

First post here. Crime rate is something to consider -Missoula sits at 411.0 per 100K. Median household income is $65,329, which feels about average for the area. Poverty rate is 6.1%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Great weather
- Growing food scene
- Good schools
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Cold winters
- Limited dining options
- Few job opportunities in some fields
What would you do? The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's exactly what I was looking for. Compared to Atlanta it's challenging.

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Lakewood area are tough. Kids love it here.
