Honest thoughts on life in Mitchellville

Alright, Median household income is $152,795, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 4.5%, which is about average. It's a a small town city with about 11,325 people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Thoughts? The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in South. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The healthcare scene is improving

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. Definitely worth checking out..
