Biggest downsides of living in Mobile?

OK so I'm originally from Baltimore and Rent is about $1,029/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $170,300 on average. The median home value here is around $170,300, which is actually reasonable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Am I overthinking this? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.
