Couple moving to Mobile from out of state

Curious what people think. I work in consulting and Poverty rate is 14.4%, which is around average. The unemployment rate is 3.5%, which is pretty low. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Has anyone dealt with this?

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- The safety scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..

I'm a sales manager and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. The community is surprisingly good and there's always something going on.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The pet-friendliness is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is nightlife. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
