Best neighborhoods in Modesto for families?

We have two kids (5 and 8) and are looking for a family-friendly neighborhood in Modesto. Budget is around $1609/month for rent. We prioritize good schools and safety. Any recommendations?

Also, are there good parks and activities for kids in the area?

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Midtown and Old Town are perfectly safe.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.
