Housing market in Modesto — is it worth buying?
Median home value here is around $415,600. Prices are steep but there are pockets of affordability. For those renting, typical rent is $1609.
Is now a good time to buy in Modesto? Or better to keep renting?
Looking for opinions from both homeowners and renters.

Check out the Northside area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

The job market has been improving lately. Several finance companies moved in recently.

Great post! One thing I'd mention is the west side tends to be more affordable. Makes a big difference.

If you can afford it, Highland Park is the best place to live. Period.
