The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. Am I wrong here? The suburbs are where most families end up. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 4 years ago. The main reasons were weather and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries

Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are reasonable, gas is solid.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. No regrets on my end..
