Relocating to Molino, FL -pros and cons?

Been meaning to ask this. Rent is about $496/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. Has anyone dealt with this? The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Strong job market in several industries
- The public transit scene is improving

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Nightlife is limited

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much developing but now it's surprisingly good.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Lakewood for 2 years. Moved from Dallas for a job opportunity. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2023 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.

**Employment:**
legal is strong here. education is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is surprisingly good - we have lakes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Lakewood schools are solid. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited high-paying job options. Dating scene is rough. And cultural scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 8/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it was the best decision I ever made.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 14 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..
