Should I move to Monessen or stay in Houston?

First post here. The city has invested a lot in new development. What do you all think? Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The outdoor recreation is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 10 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
