Considering Monmouth vs New York -help me decide

Household incomes average around $59,690 in Monmouth. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Am I overthinking this? The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Riverside. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like seafood.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
