I grew up here but left for a while. Median household income is $125,892, which feels pretty solid for the area. With a population of 9,457, Monmouth Junction is a small town. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Let me know your thoughts. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Meadowbrook. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: average. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
Definitely worth checking out..

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The healthcare is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..
