Living in Monroe -the reality

Random thought, I've been here for 5 years and The median home value here is around $173,500, which is actually reasonable. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. What would you do?
