Job market in Monroe for tech?

Hi all, I'm a 24-year-old lawyer and It's a a smaller city city with about 47,241 people. Household incomes average around $36,521 in Monroe. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Let me know your thoughts. Appreciate any input. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to.

I work in retail here and I genuinely enjoy living here. The job market for my field is decent. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much wild but now it's better than expected.

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in Fairview area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 9 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The cultural scene is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..
