Not sure if this has been asked before, but My family moved here when I was a kid. With a population of 20,330, Monroe is a small town. It's a a small town city with about 20,330 people. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Does this match your experience? The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
