Hi all, It's a a small town city with about 15,024 people. The median home value here is around $264,000, which seems about average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Has anyone dealt with this?

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is nightlife. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value weather, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely solid and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Fairview) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is decent in most areas.

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Uptown area are excellent. Kids love it here.
