What to expect moving to Monroe?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a remote worker and Median household income is $103,638, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Monroe sits at 84.7 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,575 for rent here. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Should I be concerned? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to.
