Top 5 things I love about Monroeville

Hi all, We're a young couple and It's a a smaller city city with about 28,383 people. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Would love some local perspective. The weather takes some getting used to.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 4 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want community vibe, then yeah this place is great. But if pet-friendliness matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
