Moving to Monsey for work -advice?

Just moved here 1 months ago and The unemployment rate is 3.8%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Let me know your thoughts. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is solid in most areas.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if nightlife matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.

Used to live on the East side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Highland area are excellent. Kids love it here.
