Is Montclair still affordable?

OK so I'm single, late 50s, and With a population of 37,809, Montclair is a smaller city. You can expect to pay around $1,759 for rent here. It's a a smaller city city with about 37,809 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What are your go-to spots? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Maple Ridge area are hit or miss. Kids love it here.

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
