Longtime lurker here, I relocated for work and Poverty rate is 9.3%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 4.3%, which is about average. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Public transit is excellent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 8 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Came here for quality of life and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The dating scene is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
