Is Monterey Park good for remote workers?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm retired and Homes are going for about $818,300 on average. It's a a smaller city city with about 59,639 people. Median household income is $77,605, which feels about average for the area. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Any advice would be great. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
