Not sure if this has been asked before, but Household incomes average around $54,665 in Montevallo. The unemployment rate is 4.4%, which is about average. Poverty rate is 12.8%, which is around average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
