Hey, Just moved here 9 months ago and Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. The median home value here is around $95,900, which is actually reasonable. With a population of 3,002, Montezuma is a small town. Homes are going for about $95,900 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Does this match your experience? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.
I've been here 1 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is hit or miss.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Close to major attractions
- The job market scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Feel free to reach out with questions..
