Moving from Houston to Montgomery Village next month

Anyone else feel this way? We're a young couple and Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Am I overthinking this? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I've lived in North for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- The safety scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The nightlife is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

I work in hospitality here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is solid. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
